Description
Nestled among towering ponderosa pines beneath the majestic Mogollon Rim, in the heart of central Arizona at an elevation of 6,400 feet, you'll find Mountain Meadows Cabins. Welcome to a place remembered, a time to enjoy. Our cozy cabins offer you comfortable accommodations in a delightfully pristine four season wonderland just minutes from Payson! Delight in the miles and miles of pristine forest that surround you - perfect for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching or just plain relaxing! One small dog is allowed in cabins 2, 3, 4 or 5.
Directions:
From the Phoenix area: Take Highway 87 to Payson. At the McDonalds Restaurant in Payson, turn right and take highway 260 for 22 miles to the small town of Christopher Creek. Travel through Christopher Creek and continue on Highway 260 for 3 more miles. Turn right on Colcord Road. Follow Colcord Road for 2+ miles (to cattle guard and end of pavement). Turn right at Mountain Meadows Cabins sign and follow the road along our seasonal creek to Mountain Meadows Cabins. |

Amenities |
All of our cabins feature bathrooms with a shower, Kitchen, porch swings, gas fireplaces, Tv's, VCR's and barbecue areas with picnic tables. Four of our cabins have all of the above plus a big Jacuzzi! Preview them here! The slide show to your left offers you a quick preview of our facilities.
We provide all the bedding, linens and fully equipped kitchens with 2 burner electric stovetop and small refrigerator. You might want to bring a coffee maker if you enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning along with charcoal for the outdoor BBQ if you plan to grill. TV's and VCR's are included in each furnished cabin. Bring your own video tapes or feel free to borrow some from our library. Feeling adventurous? Ask us to see our tape of wildlife that visit our cabins and make this area their home.
Our cabins are situated right under the majestic Mogollon Rim. That's the view from your porch swing through the oak, juniper and tall Ponderosa pines. We're one of only a few places in Central Arizona that is off the highway.
Because we're only two (2) hours from Phoenix, it's probably not a bad idea to give us a call in advance to check on availability. Reservations are recommended, especially if you are considering spending some time in the peace and quiet of the High Country. |

At Mountain Meadows Cabins we're in the heart of Arizona's recreational high country. The Mogollon Rim is a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. Anglers will enjoy fishing any of seven area lakes as well as easy access to a variety of mountain streams including Haiglar Creek.Horseback riding is only 10 minutes away and Cross country skiers will delight. |
