Description
Louis Lake is an affordable rustic adventure with something for everyone to do. There are horses, canoes, fishing, hiking to the back country, visit around the camp fire, the list goes on and on. We have learned during the past 25 years how to enjoy the Louis Lake area. We also welcome family reunions and have package deals for large groups. Rent the log cabins by the day, week or longer. Reserve one or more log cabins so everyone is comfortable. Louis Lake is located in the Shoshone National Forest near the Popo Agie wilderness area just 30 miles from Lander Wyoming.

There are many pioneer trail sites to visit when traveling to Louis Lake Ladge. One stop along the trail is the Pilot Butte overlook. This monument is located on Wyoming highway 28 west of Farson at mile marker 16. Or just a few miles east of where highway 28 crosses the Green River at Lombard's Ferry. This monumnet has several intrepretive plaques depicting pioneer history. Looking off to the south you will see Pilot Butte which the pioneers used for many days as a reference point while traveling this stretch of trail. Bring the entire family to the southern Wind River Mountains and enjoy a winter adventure. Snowmobile, cross country ski, ice fish, snow board, sled or snowshoe this remote area.
