Description Athlone Farm is a 200 + acre historic property located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Athlone's original 1800's kitchen is a separate building, constructed with brick originally handmade on the property. The old kitchen has been lovingly restored and updated. The building has also been updated to include one bedroom on the main level, bath, kitchen, living room, loft bedroom and a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space. Modern appliance adorns the kitchen. Air conditioning and Satellite Television. Property is available with a three night minimum @ $120.00/Nightly + Tax or by the week Saturday to Saturday. Weekly rate is $695.00+Tax. All rates include all linens and a light breakfast. Amenities  Continental Breakfast, Refrigerator, Microwave, Guest Laundry Activities and Attractions Directions from Greensboro/Raleigh, NC Take Highway 29 North towards Danville, VA and Lynchburg, VA. (Do NOT take Business 29 in Lynchburg.) From Lynchburg, travel approximately 21 miles (past Amherst, VA). Take a left onto VA-151 towards "Wintergreen Resort." Travel approximately 4 miles. Take a right onto Athlone Lane (County Road 674) (there is an Excel Gas Station on your left). Athlone Farm is the first house on the right. Use the second driveway. Directions from Charlottesville, VA In Charlottesville, merge onto US-29 via Exit 118A toward Lynchburg. Travel approximately 45 miles. After passing Lovingston, VA on your left, go approximately 10 miles and make a right onto VA-151 towards "Wintergreen Resort." Travel approximately 4 miles. Take a right onto Athlone Lane (County Road 674) (there is an Excel Gas Station on your left). Athlone Farm is the first house on the right. Use the second driveway. Directions from Washington, DC Take I-64 W towards Staunton. In Charlottesville, merge onto US-29 via Exit 118A toward Lynchburg. Travel approximately 45 miles. After passing Lovingston, VA on your left, go approximately 10 miles and make a right onto VA-151 towards "Wintergreen Resort." Travel approximately 4 miles. Take a right onto Athlone Lane (County Road 674) (there is an Excel Gas Station on your left). Athlone Farm is the first house on the right. Use the second driveway. Directions from Roanoke/Blacksburg/Abington, VA Take I-81 N toward Staunton, VA. Merge onto US 60 W at exit 188A toward Buena Vista. Travel approximately 25 miles and take a left onto VA-29N. Take VA-151 towards "Wintergreen Resort." Travel approximately 4 miles. Take a right onto Athlone Lane (County Road 674) (there is an Excel Gas Station on your left). Athlone Farm is the first house on the right. Use the second driveway. Directions from Richmond, VA Take I-64 W approximately 70 miles. Merge onto US 29 S via exit 118A toward Lynchburg. Travel approximately 40 miles and make a right onto VA-151 towards "Wintergreen Resort." Travel approximately 4 miles.
