Description Hensley Hollow lodge is an authentic log mountain Lodge, completed in Jan/2005 on 5 secluded acres of land, that border the Shenandoah National Forest. This beautiful log lodge is nestled on the side of a mountain, overlooking Hensley Hollow and the Blue Ridge Parkway with incredible unobstructed views. Enjoy the rustic natural solitude & park like surroundings. This Lodge has 6 locked bedrooms and can sleep 22 in beds. There are 4 bathrooms, 2 of which have jetted Jacuzzi tubs & showers. It is 4400 sq. ft. of luxury living area with 900 sq. ft. of decks & patios, including 4 patios for each of 4 of the bedroom suites. The kitchen is exceptionally appointed and has counter eating space as well as an adjacent dinning table and an additional dining table in the game room. Activities in the area include Massanutten Ski Resort & indoor water park (July 2005)Horse riding, wineries, antiquing, sightseeing,(20 minute drive) Tubing, kayaking, canoeing the Shenandoah River (5 minutes drive), Harrisonburg (25 minutes), Charlottesville (40 minutes) Washington D.C. (2 hours) We furnish all linens, cleaning supplies, spice rack & some condiments. Directions Four wheel drive or front wheel drive is strongly recommended during wet weather. From highway 33 heading west from Ruckersville, Stanardsville, pass under the Blueridge Parkway and travel about 4 miles down the mountain to Swift Run.Mountain Road Take a right turn on the very first paved state highway (Mill Lane Road). Travel 1.9 miles to a "T", and make a right turn on route 623. Travel 1.1 miles and take a right on Hensley Hollow Road. This road quickly becomes a gravel road and travels up the mountains beside a babbling brook and under the canopy of thick green trees. Go 1 mile to the end of state maintenance. DO NOT TURN LEFT. GO STRAIGHT THROUGH THE GATE IN FRONT!!! Open the private Hensley Hollow gate and continue for .2 miles until you see the sign on the left "21575" (second left). Make a sharp 270 degree left here and travel 300 feet to the driveway. Take a right turn up the driveway. This driveway is steep but our 2 wheel drive vehicles can handle it when driven correctly. Amenities  Two open flame gas stoves, Game room with 8' pool table, 2 full size pinball machines, Tough Dudes arcade game, 23 cu ft freezer, board games, spiral stairway to loft Activities and Attractions Minimum weekly rental rate:    1400.00 Rate details     Rates are based on the maximum number of occupants in the cabin at any one time and the days of the week. This lodge will only be rented to one couple or group at a time. Special midweek discounts may be given to church or charitable groups when booking within three weeks of desired dates, at the owners discretion. Rates for 1-4 person occupancy (3 day minimum) * $800.00 for 3 day/2 night weekend - Check in at 4:00 PM on Friday and check out at 4:00 PM on Sunday * $230.00 per night - Sunday thru Thursday * $1,400.00 per week Rates for 5-6 person occupancy (3 day minimum) * $850.00 for 3 day/2 night weekend - Check in at 4:00 PM on Friday and check out at 4:00 PM on Sunday * $260.00 per night - Sunday thru Thursday * $1,650.00 per week Rates for 7-8 person occupancy * $1000.00 for 3 day/2 night weekend - Check in at 4:00 PM on Friday and check out at 4:00 PM on Sunday * $300.00 per night Sunday thru Thursday * $2000.00 per week Rates for greater than 8 persons * Inquire with owner. $20.00 per person per night for quantities of persons greater 8 plus the base rate for 8 people. (E.G. One week reservation would be $140.00 per person over 8, plus the $2000.00 base rate for 8 people) Rates for EACH pet (With advance notice) * $35.00 per day or $120.00 per week per pet Holiday rates: Add 20% to daily or 10% to weekly rate.
