Description
River Haven Cottage is nestled on the beautiful Shenandoah River with a spectacular year round view. This cozy private cottage features a great room with a stone fireplace (gas stove insert), air conditioning, two bedrooms (double beds), a loft with two twin beds and room for sleeping bags. It has a kitchen equipped with dishes, tableware, dishwasher, pots, pans, coffee pot and microwave.
The property also comes with a modern bathroom facility with a shower.
Both the 1,000 plus square foot deck and the 35 foot long private boat dock overlook the Shenandoah River. For your pleasure and relaxation, the cottage is furnished with an outdoor grill, deck furniture, pillows, and blankets.
Relax on the dock and catch bluegill, sunfish, bass, and catfish. Then enjoy the peace and tranquility of the sunrise or moonlight reflections on the water.
* River Haven is located 1/2 mile from Route 340, just outside the corporate limits of Shenandoah, Virginia. The cabin is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Luray, 17 miles east of Harrisonburg, and 6 miles north of Elkton.
* Area airports include: Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport at Weyers Cave (35 minutes away), Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Airport (45 minutes away), and Luray Caverns Airport (private facility, 20 minutes away)
* By car River Haven is approximately 25 minutes from Harrisonburg, 25 minutes from Luray, 55 minutes from Charlottesville, 2 hours from Washington, DC, and 2 hours from Richmond.
