Description Roads End is a three-bedroom vacation home in the scenic area of Tucker County, West Virginia called Parsons. The home was originally built in 1974 and completely renovated in 1999. Nestled in a secluded vale on 165 acres, it is surrounded by wildlife and nature. Lodging accommodations at the rental include three bedrooms and two full baths, sleeping up to 12 people. Read, watch television, or chat with family and friends in the spacious great room. When the weather turns chilly, relax in front of the stone fireplace. Prepare meals in the large fully equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher or outside on the grill. Enjoy your meal on the screened-in porch or out on the picnic table, if desired. Get back to nature with the myriad of activities available to you. Many state parks are nearby, great for hiking or biking. Area ski resorts include Snowshoe, Silver Creek, Canaan Valley, and Timberline. Go spelunking at Smoke Hole Caverns or Seneca Caverns and explore Seneca Rocks. Wilderness areas such as Dolly Sods, Cranberry Glades, and Otter Creek put you further in touch with nature. Fish for native trout in an area stream. Special events worth planning your trip around are the Augusta Heritage Festival, Mountain State Car Show, Mountain State Forest Festival, Symphony in the Hills, and Fire on the Mountain. Find that special memento in the many local craft shops or the specialty shops in nearby Davis, or watch artists at work in Elkins.
