Description Oregon House's unique, private location offers a relaxing respite, a retreat. Nestled on a cliff directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the Central Oregon Coast, this beautiful property is like none other. Five buildings spread across 3-1/2 acres of forest with mature central lawns, wooded trails, a creek crossed by arched wooden bridges, and a lighted trail down the cliff to the beach. The climate of the Central Oregon Coast is mild, so whatever time of the year, you will be tempted to explore the treasures of the beach with its caves and tidepools. Or, discover the charm of the gardens and seek out one of the many sheltered and secluded places to sit and contemplate. There are a total of 12 lodging units -- and no two are alike. Seven accommodations have fireplaces, three have Jacuzzi tubs, all have kitchens and private baths, and all have great ocean views. Away from the world's distractions, there are no televisions or telephones in your room. Your hosts invite you instead to listen to the ocean and watch the sunset or the moon reflected on the night waters. Stargaze overlooking the ocean or enjoy one of a variety of massage or healing treatments. If you must connect with the everyday world, there is a pay phone outside the office for the use of guests, and a wireless DSL Internet connection is also available in the library. The Oregon House is located 18 miles north of Florence and eight miles south of Yachats on Highway 101, midway between Heceta Head and Cape Perpetua and a short drive to fine restaurants, shops, and recreation opportunities. Golf, boating, fishing, tennis, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, or just plain relaxing are all available either at or near The Oregon House. Arriving at Oregon House, you experience a different world, close to nature's bounty and the transformational energy of the ocean. The Oregon House offers you an environment that allows you to connect more deeply with yourself, with each other, and with the earth.
