Description Escape to Mountain View Cottage nestled in the peaceful Blue Ridge Mountains within walking distance of the Shenandoah River. Lounge on the screened porch and experience nature as it surrounds you with both views of the mountains and the sounds of a babbling stream. Under new ownership! The cottage has been cleaned from top to bottom. It has new carpet, TV, DVD player, drapes and other new furnishings. Relax in our new 2/3 person Hot Springs Spa located conveniently on the screened porch. The focal point of the cottage is a large stone fireplace in the living room. (Firewood available upon request for a small fee.) The fully equipped kitchen and breakfast nook are both open to the living room. The cathedral ceilings have exposed beams throughout the cottage. The bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also a full size bed located off of the living room. Outside is a stone barbeque pit perfect for grilling dinner or just making an evening campfire for roasting marshmallows. Nearby attractions include canoeing, tubing, and fishing on the Shenandoah River or National Park Lake ? both in walking distance. Take a hike, sightsee, or dine on the Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive ? ? hour drive. Explore a cave at Luray Caverns. Tee off at Luray Caverns Country Club. Go antiquing at the local shops in Luray or nearby New Market. While in New Market, visit the Civil War Battlefield. Ski or snow tube at Massanutten Ski Lodge ? 45 minute drive.
